Good evening,

Is there any plan to release a version for the VSCode extension MVBasic for Mac users that allow Online Editing?

Thanks in advance…

Have tried to download visual studio for the MAC? See https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/?dv=osx. If that does not work have you tried to download EclipseIDE for the MAC as well? Rocket Software and others support a visual editor using EclipseIDE>

Hi Doug,

I indeed have Visual Studio Code installed, and I tried to use the Rocket Extension to do online editing (Rocket: MV Basic) but their documentation also says that it will not work for Mac OS, only Windows (https://rocketsoftware.github.io/rocket-mvbasic/usage/OnlineEditing/)Note: VS Code version 1.75 or higher is required to use this feature. Only Windows is supported in this preview version.

Regarding eclipse, I used before, I can install Eclipse in mac but the Rocket plugin doesn’t work anymore. Unless they release a new one, but I had to stop using the old version of eclipse and plugin because the architecture change for the mac CPU.

I think the best option is to use Visual Studio Code, but the extension doesn’t work 100% in mac os. I have another post with some info about some of the challenges if you want to take a look, it is an 1year old discussion :P -→
