The requirements listed for 1.3.0 report a minimum of UV 11.3.1

The Product Availability Matric in RBC lists a column named "Advised Minimum", leading me to think it might be possible to run MVIS 1.3.0 against an older UV version, like 11.2.5

Is it possible to use MVIS 1.3.0 with older UV versions, or does it have a hard requirement for the newer functionality from 11.3.1 onwards?

Hello Gregor,
You are welcome to attempt to use MVIS on 11.2.5 however only 11.3.1 and up is supported.  Additionally, 11.2.5 will go end of marketing in January 2022 so we do encourage you to upgrade to a version of UniVerse that is fully supported by MVIS.

Thanks,

Hi Gregor,
Sorry, I would not recommend using MVIS with UniVerse 11.2.5
There are differences in how port numbers and process id's are handled between 11.2.5 and 11.3.x
The LISTUSER command does not exist at 11.2.5 and I believes the data returned from some other commands may have changed.
These things will cause problems with MVIS in the area of logging and monitoring. There may also be other issues I'm not aware of.
Thanks
Stuart

Thanks @Hernando Borda and @Stuart MacKenzie.

UV 11.3.1 is clearly the best starting point for MVIS.

I appreciate the feedback.
