I'm pleased to announce the release of MultiValue Integration Server (MVIS) 1.3.3.0.
MVIS 1.3.3 is the third maintenance release in the last 18 months.
Some of the key highlights in 1.3.3 are:
- Java 11 support - MVIS now supports Java 11 in addition to Java 8.
- Support for user defined topic prefixes on Azure service bus - This enhancement provides a way to support multiple mvis/admin pairs on a containerized installation of MVIS, reducing the cost of deployment on Azure (since it removes the requirement for one service bus per MVIS instance).
- Support for Alpine Linux 3.18 - We've upgraded MVIS containers to the latest version of Alpine Linux, v3.18.
- 1.3.3 includes 8 bug fixes (refer to the release notes for details)

I am curious why support for Java 11 which came out September 25, 2018.
Most Java-embedded software is at least 17 or maybe the latest Java 20.

The upgrade to Java 11 is a step in the right direction. We also upgraded our MVIS containers to Alpine Linux 3.18 and going with Java 11 was a natural step to go with that upgrade. We evaluated the upgrade to Java 17 and it involved more changes than didn't fit in our committed semi-annual release schedule for MVIS. The upgrade to Java 17 (or 20 if possible) is now on the roadmap.
