After working through the extension quick setup I am getting this popup message


My current settings are

This is what is in the directory

C:\\OpenJDK\\jdk-11\\bin>java -version
openjdk version "11" 2018-09-25
OpenJDK Runtime Environment 18.9 (build 11+28)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM 18.9 (build 11+28, mixed mode)

C:\\OpenJDK\\jdk-11\\bin>

So what is so "irregular" about this setup, and how do I fix this?

This message appears when I am using the "Remote - SSH" extension to connect to a RHEL8 linux host from my laptop.

If I use the "Remote FS" extension then the message does not appear and all the extension functions appear to work as normal.

Hi Gregor,
When you use the Microsoft ssh extension to connect to the host, the extension's java path needs to be set for the RHEL8 linux host, not your local laptop. See the documentation for the java minimum requirements.
