We're excited to announce the availability of the Rocket® MultiValue Developer Assistant 1.2.0 on Friday, December 5th, 2025.
Version 1.2.0 extends the knowledge base of the Assistant from just BASIC language to all areas of MV platforms. It now covers UniVerse, UniData, jBase, D3, and OpenQM databases, plus material on wIntegrate, SBXA, WebDE, MVIS, MVX, AccuTerm, U2 Toolkit, U2 Clients, MV Dashboard, MVS Toolkit, and MV Connect.
Internal testing shows the new version delivers significantly better results when answering general questions about MV Application servers, tools, and providing code summarization.

The MultiValue Developer Assistant version 1.2.0, integrated within the VS Code® Integrated Development Environment (IDE), allows you to:
- Answer generic questions about MV application servers and tools
- Generate MV BASIC code via natural language queries.
- Autocomplete MV BASIC code.
- Explain MV BASIC code in natural language.
- Generate comments and summaries for existing MV BASIC code.
Developer Assistant essential information:
- Program delivery: Hosted by Rocket Software in AWS and free with an MV data server (UniVerse, UniData, D3, jBASE, or OpenQM) serial number on active maintenance.
Requirements:
- Visual Studio Code and internet access
- Latest version of Continue extension for VS Code
- Follow the instructions here to update and configure the Continue extension to access the MultiValue Developer Assistant 1.2.0
**Note that if you have previously registered for accessing the MultiValue Developer Assistant 1.1.0, your API key should still work. You only need to follow the instruction to update the Continue configuration.
