service name and unidata server connections

Hello Everyone.  I am giving this a try and one thing that is throwing me for a loop is the server connection.  We have used the "BDT" tooling in Eclipse for a long time, and with that solution we could specify the servicename parameter from unirpcservices configuration.  There doesn't seem to be an option to do this within the configuration files for MV BASIC in VSCODE.   Can anyone tell me if there is an undocumented property for this?   For our environments here, we have the defcs/udcs entries set to 5 seconds timeout.  This causes the MV BASIC connection to almost immediately get disconnected.  We have alternate services defined with longer timeouts, which with UOJ, Eclipse BDT and UOPY connections we can choose this value.

Currently you can not change the default service name(uvcs/udcs) in the MV BASIC extension, we do have an enhancement request to tracking this but currently it still not available yet, I will provide your feedback to the dev engineers and hope we could fix this asap, thanks.

Hello Chao,  thanks for the information.  I heard there is a newer 2.3 version under development.  Is it possible to get a preview or beta version of this that we can try out?  Does this have the feature in it by any chance?

The new 2.3.0 build will be available in the VS Code marketplace today, so you can try to upgrade to the latest version later today or tomorrow. In this new release, we didn't implement any new features, just fixed some bugs.

I will double check with our dev team to see if we can put this enhancement request into next release plan, thanks.

I must have missed something. I thought you connected by using the database name UNIVERSE or UNIDATA. So what does the RPC Service name have to do with anything?
