Hi,
I've been trying for a few weeks to get MVVS to work with Online Editing. I'm able to log on to my server and see all the different accounts and their files; however, when I try to open up a program, I get an error message saying the file could not be found. Further inspection into the logs revealed that there is an error with XToolSub. The error is
U2 XToolSub logon account exception, {oldAccount: TESTACCOUNT, newAccount: XDEMO
com.rs.mv.mvvs.common.exception.MvVsException: failed to logto account
Is there something that UV admin has to do to allow for the logto to succeed? Any help would be appreciated.
Hello Valentin,
I am unsure if anyone has provided you with an answer. If you still have this problem with the latest MVVS v2.7.1 please create a support ticket. The XDEMO account must currently exist to establish the initial connection.

Hi @Christian Bristow, the issue was in the VOC record that corresponds to an account. My company has software that replaces the default VOC record with custom logic, so when MVVS tries to do a logto, it fails. Changing the contents of the VOC entry from the custom logic back to default results in a successful logto, but this is not a workaround I can stick with.

We had a similar issue recently with the WebDe designer tool and a secured LOGTO verb as well. We were able to work around the issue by using the SYSTEM(9001) call stack to check if the *XTOOLSUB was the thing that was trying to do a LOGTO and allow it to continue.
Another option would be for you to look to implement a custom XTOOLSUB_XPRE routine that could trap the logto command before it is being executed (or even the command that returns a list of UV accounts) and simply return the value that indicates not to allow the function//command that XTOOLSUB is preparing to run.
