Hi,  1. Installed COBOL runtime environment onto a clean Windows 2012 server   2. COBOL32 folder is available in the required drive - Unzip from existing server(W2008) 3. Environment variables has been setup  COBDIR = C:\\COBOL32\\LBR;C:\\COBOL32\\EXEDLL\\ COBSW =  -F  UTILDIR = C:\\COBOL32\\LBR  Amended the System Environment Variable, PATH, to include (%COBDIR%) 4. Additional DLL placed in the windows/system32 folder  MSVCR71.dllMSVCRT20.dllNTWDBLIB.dll 5. The Data Execution Prevention System settings has been set to ON(to run only for Windows essential services )  6. My COBOL RUNTIME Test fails i.e From a command prompt, type RUNW and this should bring up a COBOL window I'm getting the below error   Execution error : file 'TRIGGER'error code: 114, pc=0, call=1, seg=0114 Attempt to access item beyond bounds of memory (Signal 11)

For Chris Glazier By my test for migrating from netepress5.x to VC8.0 i missed the file "dsonline.obj". The second problem is that "object-reference" is now a reserved word, but was generate in Dialog System (gs, cpy, cpb) Are there a possibility to change this with directives? cg

Hello Everyone,We have a old application which is using UNIOBJECTSLib. We are in a process to migrate to new U2.Data.Client, so created a webservice application which should return UniObjects such as new UniDynArray or UniRecord.Is there anyway I can return the UniDynArray or UniRecord objects from the webservice(.asmx) project.I tried it but I am getting issues, UniDynArray has no parameterless constructor. Hey there, I'm currently stuck at the Setup of Visual COBOL, I ran the vcbt_80.exe and finished the setup, but now I kinda don't understand how to continue, the Program Files only include a Licensing and Visual COBOL Build Tools folder. I cannot choose COBOL as a language on VS and cannot use it in VSCode. What do I do after the Installation?  Thank you in advance!

I wanted to define this UDF as all SQL to make it easier to use with external platforms like SSRS. We have had times when we wanted to review the documents for a deployment set.  Now, I am sure there is a better way, but at the time I was new. Hello. I have a customer that we are migrating to iCluster from iTera. We have access to their source system and have created a new source (To be source) system and target (to be target) on our servers. We were planning to migrate them by pointing the current source system to our two systems. Theirs will be called system A, our to be source is B, and our to be target is C. Original thought was to Point A to both B and C. Then we would roleswap or shutdown A, and then modify B to point to C and be done. But while setting up the groups, this did not seem to be the way to go. Using *HADR did not seem like it would work (the only way I saw to point to two different systems). We opened a ticket with support, and they suggested A to B, and B to C. But that also brings up questions about how to do the switchover and get B to be the new primary and leaving out A. Currently we do not have access to the iTera target, so we cannot use the preferred method of Old Source to

I've inherited thousands of programs, most of which are no longer being used. Even worse the programs are all scattered into about 80 different program files. Your basic nightmare.Does anyone know a way, on Universe, to tell when the last time a program was executed is? The cataloging features are not usually employed here, although there are some, so anything that looks for a catalogue date is probably not going to help me much - but if there is a way to see when catalogued programs were last run as well that could help some.If there is nothing available to help me here - any suggestions on how to create a log of what's being used? Obviously I could move all the programs into an archived file and wait for my users to scream but that's not helpful to my company :(Thanks in advance for the info / suggestions. I inherited an old Uniface application which has a file in the common\\bin folder called ADF3172.dll. I'm not sure whether this file is part of an earlier release of Uniface (that isn't needed anymore) or something custom developed by someone. I cannot locate the source. The file is not included in the User_3gl section of the assignment file. Our application is currently on version 10.3.02.If it is part of an earlier Uniface release that isn't needed anymore, I will remove it. Just started a position at Houston's Inc which uses D3. Apparently, sometimes they are setting group locks and other times they set item locks. However, no one seems to know why it does one over the other. The D3 handbook is unclear. We are trying to remove the group locks from happening as they really should only be item locks within their applications. The manual states that the typical readu, matreadu, etc create the locks. But there is no info on how a group is created vs the item...or perhaps both are created at the same time, but the group lock is released sooner? Looking for a way to identify when the code is generating a group lock instead of an item lock so that we can switch to item locks only.------------------------------Chris RazzanoSenior PICK programmerRocket Forum Shared Account------------------------------

My apologies upfront as I am clueless about  the subject for which I'm about to request assistance.I want to install curl on z/OS.  I've used curl on other platforms and am interested to install on z/OS.  I downloaded the package from the Rocket download site, I went to the readme, install,  and other docs and z/OS is mentioned only in the "list of operating systems" but not as an install location.  From looking through this forum, it appears that other tools are used to install this curl version on USS..z/OS?  I need "For Dummies" version of where to even begin to install curl on z/OS.  Any help would be appreciated.
