Rocket,I looked the other day to checkout the free evaluation copy of UniVerse. It has an expiration date of 6/2022! UniData is sometime in 2023. Is the expiration date on UniVerse incorrect? Jon

Hi, I am facing the issue when closing the app and debugger that I got this message:  8341 Saving configuration file to disk failed. Explanation The debugger's preferences file UDBG.CNF (usually found in the working directory) could not be created or updated. --- I have it in the working folder.  Possible causes: the file has been locked by another application, or insufficient user rights to perform this action. -- how can I specify if it is locked by another app? Hi, I'm using Visual Cobol for Eclipse on Redhat, and trying to migrate from MF COBOL to Visual COBOL. I noticed [The static-linked run-time system is not available in Visual COBOL] from a document. But what is [static-link] ? and how can I find out whether [stacic-link] used in the current MF COBOL? Is where any keyword for using [static-link] ?

Hi All, We are in the process of upgrading Enterprise server and we want to take backup of CICS resource, catalog definitions, security details , ect. Can someone assist me how to export them. Current Version:  ES & ED V4.0 PU14. Note: I have tried to export CICS resource definitions (PPT, PCT, FCT ect) through casesxml utility but its not working. #EnterpriseServer#EnterpriseDeveloper

Hi, the background to this is for automating our companies TN5250 application have recently upgraded from Rumba 9.2 to Rumba 10.1. While investing an issue with the performance and stability of Rumba I noticed in the users profile there was a large .sqlite file :- C:\\Users\\<username>\\AppData\\Local\\Micro Focus\\Rumba\\Plus\\SDR.sqlite When I opened this file I could see it contained a record of screens and keystrokes and it was obvious why this would get very large quickly with the amount of automated screen activity. These are the steps I have carried out to try and disable this feature :- 1. Checked Plus Mode under the Plus menu was disabled.  I would have never disabled this feature but just a simple check. 2. Under Plus -> Settings there is a History section so ticked "Clear History on Disconnect", "Manual Capture Only" but this has not stopped the SDR.sqlite file growing.  I saved the session profile so that these settings did persist when I closed and open

Hello,  Microssoft has released VS 2022 and we are looking to move to it from VS 2019.  I can not find any information on the Micro Focus pages about support for VS2022.  Does any one know when they plan to support it?   We are using Visual Cobol 6 currently. thanks

Visual COBOL allows you to deploy COBOL applications as SOAP or REST web services running in Enterprise Server. You can also generate COBOL client programs that are capable of calling these or 3rd party deployed web services. We are writing a deployment process for Azure and need to be able to set a Bash error if the deployment process generates an error. The script is executed from the shell level with "uv DEPLOYSCRIPT' and it will exit back to the shell when done. So far, after each test, I'm seeing a Bash exit code 0...
