I'm trying to set up to test my IMS TM/DB system in Enterprise Developer. The application on the mainframe uses the message region's jobname as a database key*. It gets the jobname using assembler code to walk control block chains. That doesn't work in MFED: I couldn't get the sample methods for obtaining jobname via control blocks to work in MFED at all, even when the IMS step is running as DLI mode in a job. The MFJCTLBP get-exec API does work for DLI mode, but not for MPP mode. I'm thinking it means that MPP message processing regions are not running as "jobs" as far as Enterprise Server is concerned. Accept commandline from command-line is blank, it isn't showing the command line for the CASSI.exe process that the message region is actually running under. That command line, if returned, has the message region name it its arguments. I'm trying to set up to test my IMS TM/DB application in Enterprise Developer. From what I can tell, you have to sign in to IMS, but the only valid sign in is SYSAD. How can I get it to accept any login? Or define a different user? I'm having a hard time figuring this out in the documentation. It appears to say that you need to maintain this like you would if you were using CICS. But for what it says to do, there doesn't seem to be any way to actually do it. Can someone point me in the right direction? Note: I''ve tried changing the IMS system's security to allow for unidentified users. That had no effect.#ims#EnterpriseDeveloper#IMS

I'm trying to set up to test my IMS TM/DB system in Micro Focus Enterprise Developer. For the first transaction, I've genned the PSB & DBDs, imported the stage 1, defined the message regions, compiled the first program, started the transaction and databases. The problem is that when I enter the transaction on the screen (WIMLOGON), I get: CASTM5019E IMS ACB WIMX0100 error; transaction WIMLOGON stopped, reason:  1 WIMX0100 is the PSB/program for transaction WIMLOGON. The manual says reason1 is "ACB not found. The psbname.ACB file was not found." But, I genned WIMX0100, and it is in the folder that ES_ACBLIB is pointing to. So why can't it find the ACB? The configuration path is: The acb is in the IMSGen under the VS Studio project Project properties > IMS > Output Folders > Generated file path: .\\IMSGen This sets $IDE_IMSGENPATH to path\\IMSGen In ES Administration, IMS > General > ACB File Directory: $IDE_IMSGENPATH This sets $ES_ACBLIB to path\\IMSGen #ims#I

Hi, as a result of verifying sql-files in a project I got as result an error "35001-Syntax error at '**' ". If I do an double-click on one file the first line is marked. Hi, while verifying some DDL-files (generated directly from DB2 z/OS) we receive always the same error message at the same statement. Newbie here.  My name is Glenn and I have primarily worked with standard relational databases.  I have been tasked with extracting the table data from a UniVerse database into a set of CSV files.  I wish I could explain why, but management just gave me this directive, no reason or other details.  I know others in our IT group need to migrate a Windows Server 2003 installation to Win Server 2016 because the data from our StreetSmarts application - contained in the UniVerse DB - needs to still be available after the server migration.  I understand a MVDB doesn't have tables like a relational database, but instead has "files" that contain the data.  I am hoping some of you can give me guidance on how I can extract the file data into CSV files so I can consider this task completed and let management do with it what they will.  Thank you so much for any help you can give me as I don't even understand how I can see the file data or what structure exists for

We are trying to migrate from U9.7 to U10.4 since several weeks.The last problem we have is a very bad performance of the clear proc in our frms.We use the function $paintedfieldproperties to construct our grid with a "Sheet" aspect like the screenshot below.After a retrieve for example, when the screen is full of data , now, when we do the classic "clear" process  to empty the screen as usual, the lines goes empty but very slowly, line by line...It is not at all the case with Uniface 9.7, actually in production mode.This gives a very bad user experience and may jeopardize our migration to U10.Is there a way to improve this clear process ?Thank you very much for your helpPS: we are testing U 10.4.01.003 ------------------------------Cabero DanielLead of IT R&D LideaEuralis SemencesMONDONVILLE FR------------------------------
