I am sure the first few times I used my DSN with AcuXDBC version 10.3.1 driver 64bit the data from my vision file imported in the same order as the file definition (xfd).  Now everytime it is bringing it in with the column names shown alphabetical order which I do not want. Any ideas?I see also that MS Access still has 256 column limit? I will try MS SQL server linked server so any recent documentation on AcuXDBC and linked servers in MS SQL would be handy. ThanksJim 

Hi allI built a Python wrapper for the Intercall library to access an Universe database.Now I'm porting my utilities so they can use the native uopy module. The work is pretty straightforward but I don't find the equivalent call to ic_fileinfo ic_fileinfo (key, file_id, data, buffer, buffer_size, code)​ Is there a way to do this using pure uopy calls or do I have to build a custom UniRPCPacket to simulate the Intercall function?

I'm researching methods for collecting, curating and sharing technical product knowledge and would like to know what you find works for you.My experiences so far..I'm aware of and have used various software products such as MS OneNote, Evernote, Wiki, SharePoint even PowerPoint and Excel etc. for capturing files, lists, links, audio, video and screengrabs, but these are the tools not the 'method' however you may have found ways to make them perform for you. I am using C$SYSTEM to call the Adobe reader. I am trying to help a friend transfer an old piece (circa 2010) of software for her hair salon.  According to the profile in the mfaslmf directory, the version of Net Express is 040 001 and the Server Express 32/64 editions are 003 001 and 003 010.When I first moved the directories to the new Win 10 machine I got the error "ASLM: Semaphore failure  Errno:100".  After research, I tried to move the mfaslmf directory to the root with no change.  I then deleted the root directory thinking it would refer back to the original directory under the application.  I then get an error "The license database for the Net Express Application Server has been moved.  Scanned the registry for the obvious names, but I am stumped.Any help would be appreciated.Thank you.

I have just migrated from 9.7 to 10.3 and my runtime application used to be deployed via urr and dol files. The dol file was compiled with NO messages, and  I used to have a table called USOURCE.DICT in my data database with all my messages in so that a user of my application could make changes to messages at runtime to change component names and field labels to suit themselves. The asn would be set to file_first, so of course would find nothing of messages in there and then look to the database.How do I replicate this in Uniface 10.3?Many thanks 🙂

Hi,We have a green screen application that presents a list of data to screen from which a selection is made to move on to a second screen to edit the selected record. On the subfile screen an X is keyed in a field alongside the record to be maintained to select it and Enter is pressed to select and move on to the editing screen.This seems like a perfect candidate for using a LegaSuite Combo box, but when I try it the list of items in the combo box list has all the visible values from the subfile field concatenated in to one long field to be selected in the drop down list. I am also not sure how to configure the Combo box to pass the select value of X in to the relevant selection field on the green screen.Am I misunderstanding what a combo box is used for? The current version in use is RIBM v16. We have custom session files (eg 3270.rd3x, 3270.rd5x), templates (3270.themex) and *.xkb and application.settings. We want to upgrade from v16 to v17.First test show that v17 opens and uses the custom files. No errors. Main question is if v17 can use the created v16 files as -is.Do we need to upgrade those files to be used in v17?As we distribute the custom files automatically in our application it is important to know if we can use the v16 files without trouble. If not, we have to distribute both v16 and v17 custom files with the application.The upgrade from v16 to v17 will not be a big bang for our users. Some will get the new v17 installed where others will follow later. So it means we have both v16 and v17 in the field.To let the application be usable for v16 users and for v17 users, having just one set of custom files which can be used in v16 and v17 would make distribution much easier.So could anyone comment on this?Is it ne
