Hi,we are using VC2.3 and have the problem, that the copies, which are in a Copybook-project are compiled in the default package.The cobol programs within a Cobol-JVM-Project which are using the copies are compiled in the package which is defined as PROGRAM-ID.The problem is, that classes of a java project can not use classes of default package, e.g. we can instanciate the programs but not the copies .Is there a possibility to compile all copies a package mycopies, maybe with an directive ?Thanks a lot !

PROBLEM: When executing the statement ACCEPT OMITTED BEFORE TIME 0 runtime 10.2.1 could crash when it is executed in Thin Client mode. A Memory Access Violation (MAV) can be experienced on the client, as a result of this crash. RESOLUTION: There are various workarounds available: - set ECN-4576 OFF in the runtime configuration file; - modify the COBOL code to have a different TIME value. For example: ACCEPT OMITTED BEFORE TIME 1 (or any other value different from zero). A final fix is developed and will be deployed in AcuConnect Thin Client 10.3.0. #TipfromSupport

The developer can anyway decide that some piece of code can be optimized for each of these environments. RESOLUTION: Starting with AcuToWeb 10.2.0, the runtime can return more information when executing ACCEPT TERMINAL-ABILITIES FROM TERMINAL-INFO. Hi all,We're using TFS with Uniface - and on most PC's it's no problem to connect.However, we have two pc's where the domain\\username cannot be stored.In this screenshot, username is prepopulated - but I need domain\\username.Uniface allowes me to change the info, but will not store the info,Any ideas?Regards,Knut

Hi,I have configured IBM i partion with principals krbsrv400/ , HOST/ , ftp/ and cifs/ on KDC. I have tested with IBM Access Client solutions, all is working.Now I'm trying Reflection FTP / SFTP for using IBM EIM, but it's not working. In the settings I have to give the log on user name for the FTP Server. The Windows credentials are not working. But EIM is translating Windows credentials (source) to the servers (target) log on name. Normally nothing I have to put in. What is my mistake ?#FTPClient#Reflection

Our POS system is written in RM/COBOL.  We are using old Ithaca receipt printers.  Ithaca is no longer making receipt printers.  I need to modify our system so that it will handle both Ithaca and Epson printers.  I am having issues translating the old Ithaca control codes to the Epson ESC/POS proprietary command system codes.  Does anyone have any examples of COBOL using the Epson receipt printers?  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

I have an odd problem. I have 2 windows 10 machines running Windows 10 version 1803. One has Pro 1803 and went through the 1709 fiasco, and the second one has home 1803. On the home 1803 rm-cobol 7.0 runs like a champ, whereas on the Pro version 1803, RM 7.0  will not run. When I execute the batch to run the software the command line window appears, but the runtime does not appear as a process unless I 'X" the window.  The machine will run any program that does no screen i-o. Also the compiler will compile but will not open a window.   I know this is odd, but any ideas?  I have been bashing my brains out on this for quite some time. Thanks in advance for any clues. Let me add this: On the pro machine, the runtime will run (for a example a print-only program) if there is no screen i-o. As if it will not create a window. I looked for Chris Glazer's post but couldn't match his location to what the page was showing.  The powers that be here at my employer have decided to pony up the dollars for Micro Focus COBOL.  I am charge of the upgrade.  Our current application, with batch and online portions, is running under NetExpress.  The application uses CICS and has a SQL Server backend.  Will it still run under Net Express?

Can anyone tell me what "system error value = 0" means. The affected user is running wrun32 v10.1 and on one Windows 10 workstation sees that message displayed on the terminal before the session crashes. I have found in the v10 doc references to other values, but not to 0.
