! MS Update KB3070102 and Uniface Anywhere compatibility July 2015Author: nico.peereboom@uniface.com (Nico Peereboom) Windows Update KB3070102, which Microsoft released on July 14, 2015, is incompatible with all released versions of Uniface JTi and Uniface Anywhere on all versions of Windows except Windows XP. Uniface is working on a fix for this incompatibility. In the meantime, KB3070102 should not be installed on Uniface Anywhere\\JTi hosts. If it is installed, you can work around the incompatibility by uninstalling KB3070102. The Uniface Anywhere support team.

[Compuware License Service]サービスが起動している場合は、サービスを停止する   2. スタートメニューから「ファイル名を指定して実行(R)」を選択する   3. 名前に unregisterCpwr.exe と入力し OK ボタンを押す   4. ポップアップメッセージから「はい」を選択する       -> Windowsを再起動します。   5. Anywhere and calendar widgetAuthor: roger.wallin@abilita.fi (rogerw) Hi, we use Anywhere 5.0.2.23384 on Windows Server 2012 R2. We have problem with the Calendar widget, which is too wide, and you can't even see the data at the right as there is no scrollbar. There is no problem with the calendar on the same server as you start the application on the server, outside Uniface Anywhere. On another server using Anywhere 5.0.0.23082 on Windows Server 2012 R2, there is no problem with the calendar. Any help or confirmation appreciated! Regards RogerW.

MS Update KB3198483 and Uniface Anywhere compatibility November 2016Author: nico.peereboom@uniface.com (Nico Peereboom) Windows Update KB3198483 which Microsoft released on November 08, 2016, is incompatible with the following operating systems: Windows Vista 32-bit Windows Server 2008 32-bit and with Uniface JTi / Anywhere Version 4.8.2 ONLY! With this Windows update installed it will cause the server to cycle with a blue screen of death. If it is installed, you can work around the incompatibility by booting the server in safe mode then uninstall KB3198483. After which the server will boot fine. Setting default session printerAuthor: gianni.sandigliano@unifacesolutions.com (gianni) Hi, when a UAnywhere session is started is remapping local printers to the current session when configured to do so; in our current development/testing environment a UAnywhere session is seeing the following printers: CutePDF Writer (from SCA-K3S-BKP) Microsoft XPS Document Writer PDFCreator Preview PDF (from SCA-K3S-BKP) SCA-K3S-BK is the client machine while the other two printers are hosted on the UAnywhere server machine. This session should use as default printer "PDFCreator", being one of the printers hosted on the UAnywhere server. In our current C/S environment to set default printer in a Uniface session we are using this command: activate "OS".commandout('wmic printer where name='%%DefPrinter%%%' call setdefaultprinter', vOut) but using the same command in a UAnywhere environment to set default printer to a server one is giving back an error. Uniface Anywhere Client is not optimized for your MacAuthor: nico.peereboom@uniface.com (Nico Peereboom) 32-bit app compatibility with macOS High Sierra 10.13.4   Starting with macOS High Sierra 10.13.4, apps that have not been updated to use 64-bit processes produce a one-time alert when opened.  The current released version 5.0.2 of the Uniface Anywhere Client for macOS X is producing the following message when started on macOS High Sierra 10.13.4: "Uniface Anywhere Client" is not optimized for your Mac." This message gives users advance notice that they are running 32-bit software, which will not be compatible with macOS in the future. The Uniface Anywhere Client can still be used on this version without any adverse effects on your data or your computer.   Uniface will release a fully 64-bit macOS X client with Uniface Anywhere version 6.0.   More information on this transition by Apple can be found at
