Does any forum member know if you can upgrade to Universe, for free, from mvBase if you have an annual support contract in place for mvBase. Recently, we have upgraded from ESv6.0 to ESv9.0. After that we are greeting error in one of our online screens as Security Interface rejection -  83872R.  There is no error message in of logs. We are using the descriptive internal information about programs, specifically last date ran and number of times ran since last compiled. This information doesn't seem to be accurate in all cases. Our theory is if an external subroutine is flash compiled, and the calling program is flash compiled, these don't get updated. i was able to download vc10 installed on visual studio 2022, newest version. when i compile my projects, i become the error COBCH0314 Illegal key by following command "start DATEI key not less datei-key0" "start DATEI key not greater datei-key0" had no problem The same project compiled from vc3 to vc9 had no trouble, also with Netexpress 2 to 5.1 Is it possible to become the latest patches for vc10, i use the personal edition for the moment? Status: Needs Clarification During the compile/link process of any given program, a requirement has come up to extract the list of all copybooks (component name and type) from the ChangeMan ZMF package.  Looking at #VARLIST, it was found that the PDSTGTBL ISPF table is available, which is the Package Driven Stage Table. When one does a ")DOT PDSTGTBL" to find all copybooks (using ")SEL &STGLIKE EQ C"), it does destruction of values across various variables used in the compile/link skeletons.  For example, COBOL program ABC123.SRC may be staged with certain user options, etc.  When ISPF file tailoring begins, values are set as follows: &CMPNAME is "ABC123" &CMPTYPE is "SRC" &LNGNAME is "COBOL" etc. The issue is that once the whole PDSTGTBL ISPF table is looped through via ")DOT PDSTGTBL", the various variables (&CMPNAME, &CMPNAME, &LNGNAME, &PROC, &USEROP1, &CUSR011, etc.) are set to the last entry /

Hello all My customer's IT Audit team notices that user profiles ICLUSTER and DMCLUSTER have all special authority (*ALLOBJ , *AUDIT, *IOSYSCFG, *JOBCTL, *SAVSYS, *SECADM, *SERVICE, *SPLCTL)  and asks me if all these are REALLY needed?    From my less-than-a-year experience with iCluster, I'm fairly certain that *SAVSYS, *IOSYSCFG, *SERVICE, *SECADM are not needed but am ready to  be told I'm wrong.    May I ask which special authorities are essentially for these 2 user profiles to work without any hiccup as I need to adjust them for a bare minimum that IT Audit team asks for?         Thanks. ------------------------------Satid SingkorapoomIBM i SMERocket Forum Shared Account------------------------------

Hey, folks. In UniData, I'm attempting to use SETPTR to change several options. However, this command:SETPTR 0,220,44,2,2,1,"FONTSIZE=9","ORIENTATION=LANDSCAPE","FONT=COURIER"results in only the FONT=COURIER setting being accepted. All other variations of that command result in execution error. We use mvBase extensively, along with Accuterm (GUI). We need to re-platform to another mv product as mvBase is EOL. We were all ready to go down the OpenQM  route, then Rocket aquirred the product and all development seems to have stopped! ( We have been deliberating the move for some time.) We have  looked at jBase and D3.  Rocket are pushing us down the D3 the path. I don't see many posts about D3 improvements, it all appears to be Universe or Unidata. So my question is, what would be your platform of choice if you were moving away from your current mv version, or are you happy with your current platform for the foreseeable future (5+ years).
