I visited a customer office to install Accuterm on their workstations.  On 4 of the 5 workstations I was able to authorize the AccuTerm using an "Administrative User and Password" issued by their IT department.  On the last workstation I ran as administrator, I entered the user and password when prompted, but when I entered the authorization screen the "Authorize AccuTerm" icon was dimmed and I was unable to complete the authorization.  They purchased a 10 user version.  Does this mean that the administrative user issued by IT was not valid for that workstation?  All the actions leading up to that appeared to be normal and identical to the other 4 workstations.

Hi,below a letter sent to a customer. I'm intrested in your opinions of which Sql Server ODBC client to use? In this scenario the database access is done directly from the client pc to the database, eg. no application-server used and Uniface9 is used. The letter isn't perhaps expressed by the best possible english (fast translation :-). The different versions of the Sql clients are a jungle. If Uniface isn't used as a Remote application, e.g. by Uniface Anywhere, the Sql client must be on the user's PC, as it is in your situation. In general, we use the so-called "SQL Server" (SQLSRV32) which is included in the "Windows Data Access Components" library and is therefore already installed on the user's PC. This is the version that users of your XXXXX-system now use and it usually works well. Our company is running UniVerse 11.3.5.1002 on RHEL 7.8. We have been running this OS / UV combination for two years since migrating off Solaris. We are in the midst of an OS upgrade to RHEL 8.10 on our UV servers. Our strategy is to first run an in-place upgrade on a development machine. We've decided against creating a RHEL 8 server from scratch followed by the install of UV. After a certain amount of time running on the dev server, the plan is to upgrade the production servers in a similar fashion. Are there any special considerations or specific "gotchas" we should be aware of? I understand this is an ambiguous question without posting more details about our setup. Our SysAdmin group have had challenges upgrading a cloned server, but nothing related to the existence of a UV installation. By no means are we trying to get out of doing the work ourselves. Currently (as far as I'm aware), the newest version of the MVSP .NET API is using Framework 4.8, which is incredibly old (but still supported).  Are there any plans to move the MVSP API to a more current version of .NET? For some reason this started showing up. It might be a useful feature except that I CAN'T TURN IT OFF!!!!  I've explored all the settings I can find. I found the online documentation where it says I can type "disable code lens" in the command window. I've done that. I even tried to bind the command to a keyboard combo and execute it that way. I've restarted VS code. It's still there taking up half my vertical space. If you're going to add a feature like this you should make it easier to turn off an on.  I shouldn't have to even ask this question. Hi, When I reach a field at the end of a container list, after hitting the tab from there, it should go to the first field in the group box. In order to accomplish that, I created a hidden field outside and called a client-side javascript to focus on that field, but it didn't work. I am on a Universe system and it does not save the TCL command stack from session to session.  How do i turn that on and have it shared for a user over multiple sessions?  Also, what file is the stack saved in?

Here is a bit of code I have been playing with:- Background: Version 10.04.03 has deprecated the command scan and it has been superseeded with $scan. The $scan command can be used within an if condition. This may help with the deprecated scan problem.  It may need tweaking for various situations.  It should speed up the clean-up process. Old code:    scan MyVariable.MyEntity, "IceCream"   if ($result!=0) ; did you find it New Code:      if ($scan( MyVariable.MyEntity, "IceCream")!=0) ; did you find it How to convert: copy the code somehow into notepad++.  Best to export the code to xml and open the xml document in notepad++. We're attempting to set a timeout on HTTP requests by using the SET_TIMEOUT command. The documentation states that the -12 status means "An internal error occurred", which doesn't really lend any insight to what the issue might be.  What would cause this sort of error that would cause a timeout not to be set correctly, outside of an incorrect time format (which is a -13 status)?  Is there additional logging that I can put in place that would show me more detail or give me an indication of where to look next? Hi, In the same version of U2.Data.Client (3.1.1), the string data format I retrive from a database is different, by changing the library from .NET to .NET Framework, using the codepage 850. In this case, in the .NET Framework is correct and with .NET the "special" characters are not shown properly. I'm portuguese and the problem is in the accent words like á, é ç. Hi, does anyone know or have experience with upgrading just the tomcat version in the Uniface installation ? We have the upgrade to Uniface 10.4.03.x  (coming from 10.4.02.43) in the pipeline, but it takes a while from installing  it till getting it  installed  for our Customers. Would it be possible to upgrade just the Tomcat version from Tomcat 9.0.43  to Tomcat 9.0.97 or Tomcat 10.x ? Tnx in advance !
