Hi all, By any chance has anyone encountered or has an idea what might be cause for a custom macro built to interact with Extra X-treme 9.7 to not work for some users and work for others? The notification pops up after starting the macro. Following up with the testers for the result of the Debug. Hi Folks, I hope someone can help me out with this weird issue.  I have a script that has been working fine up until the last Update to v10.2.1.4931.  Now, after sending a PF3 command to the session, it freezes the screen.  Can't move the cursor, can't send input, etc.  I know exactly where it is occurring in my script, at line 1081: bzhao.SendKey "<PF3>" Up to that point it does a few other sendkey statements, like bzhao.SendKey "<Enter>", no problem. If it put this instead: MsgBox ("Hit F3 key") I run script in debug mode, and it works fine (as long as I hit the F3 key manually, and click on OK). I have tried putting disconnect and connect statements right after the sendkey, but it completely disregards them.   Anyone seen this before, or know how to fix this? We're currently on UniVerse 12.1.1 and RHEL 7. As RHEL 7 is EOL - we'll need to upgrade to 8, and then update UniVerse to 12.2.1.2002 The team who will conduct the OS upgrade have asked if UniVerse will support a Leapp upgrade, and if UniVerse will support RHEL 8.6 specifically. Has anyone else been through this process? It has become unacceptable to expect or enforce the need for a manual authorization at the end of installation or upgrade. With the  latest release of UniVerse we have also published a tech note article that covers a  Python script to Automatically License / Authorise / Authorize UniVerse and UniData. Hello Everyone.  I am giving this a try and one thing that is throwing me for a loop is the server connection.  We have used the "BDT" tooling in Eclipse for a long time, and with that solution we could specify the servicename parameter from unirpcservices configuration.  There doesn't seem to be an option to do this within the configuration files for MV BASIC in VSCODE.   Can anyone tell me if there is an undocumented property for this?   For our environments here, we have the defcs/udcs entries set to 5 seconds timeout.  This causes the MV BASIC connection to almost immediately get disconnected.  We have alternate services defined with longer timeouts, which with UOJ, Eclipse BDT and UOPY connections we can choose this value.   Thanks in advance, Aaron------------------------------Aaron TitusSenior ArchitectF W Davison and Company Inc. Good day, I am using Unidata 8.2 and building a web frontend to a Unidata application. What I'm trying to figure out is a good method for detecting console message such as Unassigned variables or Unopened file variables during the process. Yes, the messages are being displayed in the COMO, however so is a lot of other information, and I don't want to parse the COMO for console messages. I do want to report the messages back up to the user. Is there an EASY way to detect/trap those console messages? Hi allI reside in the UK and for our "sins" we still honor the European data format of DD/MM/YYYY. There is a conversion code which 'e'  which according to the D3 manual states: e Uses european date format regardless of current system default setting This is great, however, I discovered something rather disturbing and am wondering whether anyone (this side of the Atlantic) can see (a) if I'm doing something wrong OR (b) has uncovered this. BTW - I am aware of the set-date-eur option in a coldstart - which (in my case) I have not opted to have. Hi all, As I mentioned in a previous post, I'm working with a customer who is considering  modernizing old Uniface 7 & 8.4 applications.  In the scenario where these apps remain in Uniface, they will be migrated to Uniface 10.4. I would like to understand the available tools and effort involved in order to add a web interface to the most important screens in the applications, while leaving the rest of the screens as they are.  I saw a white paper describing some of such abilities in the new Uniface versions, but it appears rather vague. Is there a document that explains these abilities more technically? Could you share from your experience how you have added a web interface to old Uniface applications, what tools you found useful to speed up the process and how much effort was involved? Do you know if when modifying some screens of the Uniface app to be web based while not modifying other screens in the Uniface app - can both of these types of screens be accessed from the same virt

Trying to use some XML functionality and the doc's aren't very useful. But this is my first attempt trying to deal with XML on UniVerse and in general. The purpose is pretty straightforward, take XML feeds, break them down and write them to a UniVerse File. I started with writing a small program in BASIC to try to get familiar with the syntax and flow and utilize the XML functions available to me instead of creating my own parser. Getting unexplained error, basically having to do with the xml_handle or handler ? I'll attach results as well as the test file. I then tried to mimic the program below and get farther along, but not getting any data. A couple of points: 1) I've only mapped the first 4 items of the XML file and created those 4 items in the DICT (out of 25) Thanks for any assistance.....Plus, how/when is the data written to the UniVerse file. I'm running the following environment: VisualCOBOL 9 Patch Update 2Micro Focus VS Code extension 1.0.57VS Code version 1.90.0 on Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows (10 and 11) The outlining feature does not work when a COBOL file is loaded into the editor.  The message "No symbols found in document <filename>.cbl" is displayed. Syntax highlighting is working, however there is no dynamic parsing of the source (I'm not sure if there should be - it's present for other languages such as shell scripts).  Nothiing ever shows up in the "Problems" tab. I seem to recall that code outlining worked for about 10 minutes after I installed the extension, but hasn't worked since.   I can't replicate this by reinstalling the extension. In addition CTRL-clicking on variables to see their definitions, CTRL clicking on paragraph or section names, or hovering over either of them does nothing either. Hello Rocket Community Hoping you can help. We use Wintegrate emulator for our Dealer Management solution. Has been in production for over 5 years. Was working fine yesterday, today user is not able to download xlsx files to folder. Can download text, csv etc, via same executable and folder destinations. Message displayed is: There was an error during the transfer: Unable to open or create local file. Message is displayed after clicking OK on folder where file is to be stored to. We have had this happen to 3 computers, 2 some time back, a 3rd computer today. User is able to save and open / access the folder and files in the folder, error exists in Wintegrate only. We are on RMCobol v 12.17 32 bit. We are trying to make sure that LCS can read Environment Variables from a Windows Machine to be used by code. Code should successfully read the following 2 environment variables HOMEDRIVE HOMEPATH Code should concatenate those 2 values, and code should then be able to use that single value as the new location to be used instead of any hardcoded references to the current drive.  I am trying to find the function code for the GetFirmwareEnvironmentVariableExA function.  Do either of you have any idea where I can find this?
