Hello - I am converting our spooler programs to linux. We use the 'c' record of cups for the job info. The 'd' record stores the data of course. Here is the setptr we are using...

SETPTR 0,132,60,0,0,1,AT temp,BRIEF,BANNER KH,EJECT,COPIES 1,"-s"

But on linux, using strings (or 'cat') I am not seeing the 'KH' banner text.

r-uriþipp://linuxdev/printers/temp!þjob-k-octetsþdocument-formatþtext/plainþ

on Unix (using 'cat') it is stored like this:

CREC=Hh50þPkhambricþJtemp-5842þCþLkhambricþA0þBKHþOþK1þT/util/tmp/udttmp/UD14500

Can anyone tell me how to get the Banner text from a print job on linux?

Thank you all,

Kathleen
