Good morning,

as i wrote in my previous post we upgrade our servers from Windows server 2008 to 2016 running in terminal server.

We have changed the users Windows name too.

We have a version thin client of extend acucobol 9.1.1. and we i copied  the parameter from  the old acuconnect control  panel in the new with the most permissive version:

client machine name: *

client username : blank

local username : <same as client>

unmask : 002

The new users names contains surname.name but for two users (one it's me)

the Runtime failed to connect .

i noticed that these two users are those with more characters than Others (mine is maurizio.bussalino)

Is it possible ther is a limit of characters for the acucobol user name ? in affermative case i read in the documentations that is possible to create an acuaccess file but i don't found any sample to understand what i have to do.

I have a second problem too..

I have to schedule a job with a task scheduler but it wants the administrator privileges, and entering in terminal server with administrator user, acucorp thin client answers "failed to connect" .

is it possible to set administrator like another common user or there is another way to set my job in task scheduler?

thank for your help and bye.

I do not know which version you are attempting to go to ... you used to use 9.2.2 - what version are you now using?

Reason is - a 10.3.0 install will not use a 9.2.2 access file - when using 10.3 you have to create a new access file.

Is it possible there is a limit of characters for the acucobol user name? Prior to 10.3 the user name field is 16 characters.

With 10.3 - The Client Machine name has been increased to 128 characters
The User Name and Local User Name have been increased to 64 characters
The Password field remains 64 characters.

possible to create an acuaccess file?

As administrator in the Acu install bin directory - execute - acurcl -access - this will prompt you of a location and AcuAccess file name - if you change those - you need to match your values with the values in your configuration file.

Have you considered SECURITY_METHOD LOGON
