Problem

Compilation may hang using the following command-lines:
ccbl32 --netexe TestNetToCobol.cbl
ccbl32 --netdll TestNetToCobol.cbl

Using previous versions, such as 10.2.1, the following message may appear instead:
ccbl32 --netdll TestNetToCobol.cbl
.NET Version Not Found: --netdll
 

Resolution

When using certain types in the Linkage Section of a COBOL program, and compiling with --netdll or --netexe, the compiler would fail to produce the .Net assembly. The types that would cause the failure are types that
would be cast to unsigned .net types, including handles.

A new fix has been developed: ECN-4718
It will be released in the upcoming version 10.4.1 of ACUCOBOL-GT.
