Hi,

We're needing to investigate encryption for several clients and understand we can turn it onĀ  from the documentation here.

However, we can't find any information on the specifics about how the encryption works.Ā  Some questions we need answered are:

  1. Payload Encryption
    1. Is it and how is the payload encrypted?
    2. What is the encryption algorithm?
  2. Key Management
    1. Encryption type?
    2. Key length/size?
    3. Key rotation frequency?
    4. Key distribution?

We use an implementation of AES. The entire communication stream between the client and server is encrypted.

We use 128 bits to initialize the encryption, and then use the ENCRYPTION_SEED value to encrypt the actual communication. I believe the wikipedia page describes the AES algorithm sufficiently?
