Hi.  Does anyone here have any success running SAP Crystal Server 2011 utilizing the AcuXDBC database driver?

When we upgraded our server from Windows Server 2003 to  Server 2008 R2, we also have to upgrade our reporting system softwares from the older versions of AcuODBC and Crystal Reports to the new versions which are:

SAP Crystal Server 2011 (32-bit) which includes SAP Crystal Server Java BI Launchpad with the database connector AcuXDBC extend9 (32-bit)

We cannot make SAP Crystal Reports work under this version on the server.

The error that we get when running the reports in SAP Crystal Server 2011 is “Failed to retrieve data from the database.

Details: [Database Vendor Code: -1] []

                         ----- Error code:0 [CRWEB00000119]

We already ran an SQL test which shows that AcuXDBC is properly installed/setup and is working fine. The issue now is SAP Crystal Server connectivity with AcuXDBC.  What gives me hope that this should work is that the SAP Crystal Reports Designer 2011 software works on the same AcuXDBC driver on our PC client running under Windows 7 environment.

On the machine where SAP Crystal Reports Designer 2011 software works on the same AcuXDBC driver on our PC client running under Windows 7 environment, do you have just AcuXDBC or AcuXDBC Enterprise? Does SAP Crystal Server Java use ODBC or JDBC? If SAP Crystal Server Java uses JDBC then you need AcuXDBC Enterprise. There are some threads on the SAP site about Error code:0 [CRWEB00000119]    scn.sap.com/.../3366185

Hi Shjerpe.  Thanks for your response and suggestions.  I was never aware of the AcuXDBC Enterprise so this is something that i need to investigate further. We used the same AcuXDBC driver on our PC client and the server which is AcuXDBC 9.2.1 (32-bit).  In the SAP forum link provided, it seems to be related to our problem when  previewing or refreshing a report although setting the maximum number of database records to read as "unlimited" in CMC did not work.  I will look into this and check other settings.  I will provide some developments and results.   Thank you!
