If so, is there an option to open a copybook? I can not find this essential functionality….

Click on the AcuBench Extension icon on the left side of VSCode, it opens the Primary Side Bar. In there, by default, you will see the STRUCTURE section and the FILE section. In the FILE section, you can navigate the files of the project. When you click a copybook it will open in the editor.

Thanks for the (fast) reply Martin.
The COBOL shop I am working for does not use the AcuBench methodology of splitting a COBOL program into different “structures”. They use AcuBench as a plain COBOL editor / compiler. But it is clear now that this is exactly what the VSCODE plugin provides. So it is not applicable for us.
