I have a main menu program which executes an ACCEPT BEFORE TIME loop.

If it is left overnight, I find that a) the menu bar has disappeared, b) the program ceases to be able to communicate with the screen - i.e. display message box does not display anything.

Has anyone any similar occurences? Anyone know what might be happening?

Keith

PERFORM UNTIL SOMETHING-TO-DO
.....MOVE ZERO TO W-TERM.
.....perform until W-TERM NOT = ZERO
..........move spaces to w-char
..........accept omitted at 0101
...............before time 10000
...............ON EXCEPTION
....................CONTINUE
..........end-accept
.....end-perform
.....CANCEL ALL
END-PERFORM.

Did you use the RENEW_TIMEOUT configuration variable?

no, i want the accept totimeout on any key.

interestingly, when the program gets in its mess, the debuggerer menu also does not work!in fact nothing seems to function from the keyboard again.
