I have a db2 field that is defined as decimal and i set up a an item as s9(7)v99 comp-3.
When the program runs, I get an SQL error -304, which says that the value is out of range. This does not appear to make sense as all the manuals and help sources insist that this is the correct interpretation. Is this an acucobol problem???

The problem is caused by a difference on the windows/unix version of the pre-compiler. The value of SQL-HOST-VAR-LENGTH needs to be changed from 521 on windows to 2306 on hpux.
