I have been tasked to convert a set of Micro Focus indexed data files which were created by a system developed in Net Express 3.1.

My efforts to convert the files (in Extend 7.2.0) have so far failed completely, with vutil returning the message:-

"Unknown file type or file not found"

from a command line such as:-

C:\\Acucorp\\Acucbl720\\AcuGT\\bin\\vutil32.exe -convert -d "F:\\TARGETDIR" "F:\\SOURCEDIR\\MYFILE.DAT"

I would be extremely grateful for any advice as to how to convert these files.

Micro Focus supports a number of different index file formats. It would probably be set to take the file, export it to a flat file and ten use vutil to import the data into Vision
