Hello all

When using the CBL_CREATE_DIR or C$MAKEDIR it is possible to create a new directory on the server.
But I want to create a directory on the Thin Client, using "@[DISPLAY]:"notation.

Doesn't this work with Thin Client

By the way, why is there 2 library routines with the same function ? What is the difference / which one is the best to use ?

I hope anyone can help.

Regards
Kim

To start with the last first, the latter is the historic implementation in ACUCOBOL-GT, CBL_CREATE_DIR is an intrinsic function introduced to gain compatibility.

As for TC and ability to create dirs. It is currently not supported, if there is a sound reasone, make it in an enhancement request.
Apart of that, you may now with 6.2. use dlls on the client side, so you could use the API if you'd like.

Hello

Thanks for your reply. I will use C$MAKEDIR when not on TC.

But I'm not very good at API programming, so I have no idea where to start, to get it to work with TC. If anyone has done this already, all help is appreciated :)
