We have customers that are running our application over their network off of mapped drives and when doing so, data access is extremely slow. Looking at task manager network performance, it is only obtaining about 8 to 10 percent throughput. If I run a report that reads data files, writes to a temporary file, then generates the report, it will take up to 5 times longer than if you run it from the local drive. Copying large files across the network are seeing up to 85% throughput on the network performance monitor.

Has anybody experienced this type or performance issue or does anybody know what we could do to increase the performance over the network, short of running thin client?

Thanks, Steve

I read that forum and downloaded the utility already and tested it internally and didn't see any speed change when reading data. We are going to try it at the customers site as they are running XP with Acucbl 7.2.1 runtime.
