Thanks for all your help.
I have one more question.
How do you return a date from the date-time picker to a field in
working-storage?

Thanks

If you look in the DTPicker.def file that was generated, you'll find the CLASS @IDTPicker definition for the Microsoft Date and Time Picker control. Listed under this class are all of the properties and methods you can use for the control. Most, if not all, of the properties have a PROPERTY-PUT and a PROPERTY-GET pair. You use the PROPERTY-PUT to assign properties and the PROPERTY-GET to retrieve properties. So, since we used the @Value property to assign a value before, you can now inquire on the control for the @Value property and return it into working storage.
example:

INQUIRE DTP-1 @Value IN TEST-VALUE

You could do the same thing if you wanted to find out the month, day, and year elements.
