is it posible to display a workbook of excel inside a screen?

if i thy things link this:
03 MyExcel Workbook of Excel

or
03 MyExcel Application of Excel

i always get an "error creating the activex control".

i know how to create a control manually and then open the workbook. but how could the display command sound, to bring it on the screen?

as explanation: i dont want to see excel itself. i have an .xls with updateinformations, which i want to bring on screen.
The user should only see our programm and click yes or no to get the update now or not.

is there any way or do i have to find something else (we use plain text right now .. but it looks a little bit ugly)?

Davide is right. Excel is an out of process COM server, which means it cannot be embedded in your application like an ActiveX control could.

And, you have to use the CREATE verb with COM applications, DISPLAY can only be used to create ActiveX controls.

SliverHH,

There are many ActiveX controls that perform similar functions to Excel and can even create Excel files. You might want to try one of those because they can reside in a screen.
