I'm using a grid that has 7 columns. The display width of column 1 is 40. I want to be able to type more than 40 characters into the column. I can't make the column's display width any wider because the rest of the columns of the grid will not show. What setting allows me to enter more characters in this column?

That is interesting how it works, I would have thought that if you set the picture size to be 50 it would let you key in 50 characters even though you set the display to 40, but it doesn't. I think that it should, because if you re-size your columns and make it smaller you can't key in any more information than the cell even though you have your picture size set. I don't see any way to acomplish what you are asking for, but it would be a nice enhancement to the system if there is no other way to do this.

That is interesting how it works, I would have thought that if you set the picture size to be 50 it would let you key in 50 characters even though you set the display to 40, but it doesn't. In Column settings, content tab, entry field Data types, use x(40) for 40 characters etc
