We are looking for a program that convert non-Cobol formats such as CSV, DBF, Excel, etc to VISION files.

    We are looking for a program that convert non-Cobol formats such as CSV, DBF, Excel, etc to VISION files.
    At one time there was a product on the market called Data Junction that let you create data mappings between file formats and then run manual or automated conversions. I think Pervasive bought the product, so I'm not sure what state it's in.

    Another idea is to use a tool that can convert data files to ODBC data sources with data mapping. To use the vision files as ODBC data sources you'll need AcuODBC from Acucorp(or USQL from Transoft). Perhaps a tool like Monarch would do the job.

    If you can demand availability of Excel, why not use COM and let Excel do the job for you?
