Has anyone out there tried to inteface with a scanner using an active-x,dll, etc, I would like for to be able to attache scanned documents to a master record, etc.

Twain is definitely the key word here. Twain is the most widely used standard interface, I was however not able to find any example code with a quick search. You might want to give it a shot.

Mike, we use an active-x control called ImageKit which allows us to connect to TWAIN compatible devices and control the scanner. Using the active-X controls we can capture the scanned image, save it in a number of formats, display it, etc.

Thanks for your help, Can you also control or at least know the file name and location of the scanned document?
