Im looking for some api to print a word document or excel without opening it. Anyone have a tip?

You have to "open" it, that is, you have to load it with Word, Excel respectively.
However, I suspect that what you really want, is to print it, without showing Word or Excel, if that is the case, just make sure the @Visible property of the Application object is set to false (0). This is actually supposed to be default. So unless you set it to 1, it should not show.

Another alternative is to use the shell to print, this can be accomplished by executing the shell association, followed by the flag to print. However, this will do the exact same thing, e.g. launch Word or Excel and execute a print.

My 2 cents is to launch Word / Excel yourself and have full control, which using the shell alternative will not give you.
