Hi,we have old character based programs that run under Linux and the users use a telnet program to log onto the linux server.
Now some users want to log in with the telnet program putty.
Putty seems to be very mighty but some functions don't work.
I created a new section "putty" in my a_termcap and copied some function keys and display statements.
The simple keys F1 - F8 work fine but for example the Alt F5 does not work at all.
Has anybody experience with putty ?
What TERM variable should I use ?
And what keyboard settings in putty ?
I would appreciate your help.
