How can I read data that comes from a serial port.
F.e. a balance send the weight thru a serial-port and I have to catch it.
Any ideas ?

You can also use an ActiveX component, for instance the Microsoft serial communications component mscomm32.ocx.

This is probably the most robust solution, as it will be event driven, or you can try the Windows API file interface.
