We have a strange thing happening here (why is printing always weird on any system? ;) )

We have a program that uses WIN$PRINTER opcodes to print boxes. This works very nicely. On almost every printer... One particular printer produces no boxes. If we print to the MS document writer, then use that to print to the errant printer, it works fine. The printer drivers are the latest from the manufacturer and in all other respects it works perfectly.

Any ideas?

Nigel

Sounds weird.
One thought I have is whether the particular printer in question has a different resolution than the others, could that be?

It doesn't seem to be. We tried this printer on another machine, and it worked!

Same drivers, same OS... I hate printers...

Interesting. While the driver may be the same, it can be different defaults. Have you checked the default settings of the printer in the control panel?

Chances are, there is a small but significant difference there.
