I cannot send an email from acucobol...help...

What have you try?
to which server would you send (Groupwise, Exchange or other) or directly over internet?

smtp,mail,yahoo.com   Just trying to send a simple email. The sendmail program I habe needs socket.def which I don't have. bob

Which is? Can you call a exe?
can you send your email program (cbl)?

Do you have a copy of socket.def? I have not tried to call an .exe program. The program I am using is sendmail.cbl and sendmails.cbl
