[Migrated content. Thread originally posted on 11 November 2002]Thanks to Acucorp for setting up this forum. As I expect to be a frequent contributor here and having beenpart of other forums, I would like to suggest that there bea few other categories setup.1). We are doing a lot with ActiveX. An activeX or GUI forum might be a good thing. What Activex controls do you use, whichwork well, don't work etc.2). Mixed language integration. Cobol interoperability with C, C , and other languages. 3). Databases Access and programming. Oracle, Acusql, DB2 etc.please consider these as way to get organized.Again thanks to all at Acucorp for the forum and the knowledgebase.

[Migrated content. Thread originally posted on 18 November 2002]Hello usersJust to test the forum I want to ask a questions which is anoying me in the daily support to our customer. In a large Citrix system (approximate 40 user) I dont know which program each user is running. On the citrix server in taskmanager the programs are not shown, but in the processes I am able to see that a user is running the program (big surprise) WRUN32. Is there anybody there have found a way to see which program a user is running in the task bar ??We are running acuserver is there a way there ?The versions is win2000, acucobol 5.1 and acuserver 5.2best Regards :) Steen JensendatamannDenmark
[Migrated content. Thread originally posted on 20 November 2002]One option that has worked well for other customers and Acucorp (!) is to use AcuConnect. I.e., your Linux application calls a COBOL program on the NT server via AcuConnect, that program accesses MSSQL via Acu4GL-MSSQL or AcuSQL for MSSQL (AcuSQL is Acucorp's embedded SQL for ACUCOBOL-GT) and then passes the info back to the Linux application, again via AcuConnect. This is the method we use for our on-line knowledgebase (see "How it Works" on the KB page).I would not expect Acu4GL-Sybase to work with MSSQL (the databases are quite different now as opposed to several years ago when they were the same), and it would not be an Acucorp supported configuration.Hope this helps!Regards,
