So.  Was using rment, it was working.  Tweaked the command slightly (the request string part of httppost) and now, instead of status zero, I am getting status 1.  The original response that comes back is still correct.  When I check the error description, using NetGetError, it gives back "no error, don't panic!".   So does this mean both zero and 1 status mean a successful request/response?  Can't find any list of errors in sample/rmnet or sample/def or in the manual.

With what version of ACUCOBOL-GT are you experiencing this errant behavior?  Also, can you provide any details in regards to the change(s) that were made to the request string?  Or, can you let us know if undoing those changes restores the correct response-status behavior?

In order to gather additional information in regards to what is happening, you might try adding a call to "HttpGetReturnCode", so that, you can interrogate the HTTP return code for the affected "HttpPost" operation.

Also, you might be able to gather additional information about this issue using an HTTP capture utility, like, WireShark(https://www.wireshark.org/).

However, according to the RMNet documentation any non-zero response-status code indicates that the request encountered an error.  So, if you are receiving a non-zero response-status on a successful operation, then, your program might be exposing a defect in the RMNet solution.  And, to begin an investigation into an encountered product defect, please feel free to submit a Case to Micro Focus SupportLine(https://portal.microfocus.com/).
