I have an issue with loading a JSON string from a webserver.   Loading of a JSON string via the linkage area is not accepting the string as input   for example,  the following call is sent   GET /ssi/1.0/validationIdList?endClientType=SSI_egm&endClientId=ABC_123&configurationId=1235813&validationListId=1347118&numValidationIds=5&valIdListExpired=false HTTP/1.1Accept: application/jsonAccept-Charset: utf-8   I am not sure how using XBIS i can accept the above string as input into a cobol program (fields in BOLD) and use the relevant parameters as part of input to read files etc   Any information would be appreciated#linuxcobol#XBIS#JSON#RMCOBOL

It is posible that I must have payed maintenance for transfering program to new computer ? I need response key for activation of Net Express 4.0 but technical support will not do it without maintenance. So if my computer tomorow crashes I can not install program I have payed ???#license#Maintenance#netexpress

Is anyone else seeing problems caused by Windows 10 PC's installing the latest (May 8, 2018) updates?  We have multiple sites reporting issues with multiple PC's after installing the May 8th updates.  Specifically they are unable to communicate with AcuServer (we use the default port 6523).  They are also unable to use a few programs included in our application software that communicate with corresponding programs on the server using the C$SOCKET library routine included in AcuCobol.  One client first reported it on one Windows 10 PC that updated, then two days later, same problem on another PC, and now a 3rd PC.  Another client reported all 3 of his Windows 10 PC's updated on Friday and then these were no longer able to use C$SOCKET to "talk" to the server starting Monday.  Another client using AcuServer for their data file traffic reported their Windows 10 PC updated last week and was immediately unable to use our application due to

It would be great if the ICON configuration variable could use an icon that is more than a 16 color icon.  The current restriction of only being able to use a 16 color icon makes it hard to have a good looking icon on current Windows systems.  It would be great if it could support True Color Alpha Channel (32-bit color) icons.

Hi,  I have a POS application that we are running on a Windows 10 Tablet and need to incorporate a signature capture feature.   Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about doing this without the need for a signature pad device?   We want the user to sign on the touch screen and save the signature image to a .jpg file format (preferably, but not absolutely required that it is jpg).   Looking around on the web, I find some options for active-x controls that I may can plug in and use.   I would greatly appreciate any input or guidance from anyone who is familiar with signature capture on touch screen devices. I've been playing with creating a text file which is imported into an Excel spread sheet. I get good results when the spread sheet in empty but importing to an existing spread sheet(which is what I want) gets totally unexpected results. My question is, are there Excel commands that can say "place this data at this location?". My theory is that with such commands I can update specific locations with the extracted data. Thanks John...    Looks like I should add more to my question. The question is about using text to update an Excel spread sheet, sense no one answered I suspect what I want can't be done with a text file. Are there other (simple?) techniques that can accomplish updating specific data in a spread sheet?   

Hi all   We have now AcuToWeb up and running in a single program. Over all, we find AcuToWeb to slow for the full package, but it is okay for a single program even though we hope that performance could be a little bit better a long the way.    But now to my question. Our customer want his customer to sign an agreement on the tablet running AcutoWeb. Is that do able, and does anybody have an idea how to do that.   Best Regards Steen

Hi all, Has anybody used RMNet to implement an OAuth 2 solution. I am specifically trying access Audatex Audconnect solution for exporting assessments. I can get the authorization login to work using the browser control but the return post opens a new web page which I don't really want to see but I can glean the token from it by inquiring on the web browser control. However, having got the token I then need to post requests using httppost/httpget using the returned token to setup a request for an export and return the endpoint for getting the assessment data. All the posts after the authorization have Curl command equivalent's but I cannot get any of them to work. A simple one is to find out who you are when connected and the curl command is curl -X GET --header 'Accept: application/json' --header 'Authorization: Bearer 'returned token' 'audaconnect-demo.ax-aee.co.uk/.../whoami' which works from the command line when I run it. I have a simple cobol console program using visual studio 2017 (running visual cobol 2017) display "ackack" line 4 position 10. this throws an "index out of range exception" this syntax worked with Visual Cobol 2015. Am I missing something in the docs?
