This Advisory is in regard to potential impacts of Antivirus scanning solutions on the performance of your Mobius installation.
Although it is important to scan the files on your Mobius servers to protect your data, virus scans can interfere with the normal workings and performance of the Mobius solutions.
Due to this potential performance impact, it is recommended that you exclude the following directories and associated subdirectories from your virus scan:
- Mobius installation directory
- Mobius configuration directory
- On Windows, this is usually a path similar to: c:\ProgramData\ASG\VDRNET\12.5.0\
- Directories to which logs are written, if other than the configuration directory
- Any directories from which report input files are read during archive creation
- Any directories to which archives (DAF files) are written
- For DocumentDirect for the Internet, Mobius View, and/or Rocket Content Explorer, consider excluding Tomcat (or another supported Web Application Server)

- Versions 3.1 and higher of DocumentDirect for the Internet and ViewDirect for Networks
- Versions 7.0 and higher of Mobius View, Mobius Server, and Rocket Content Explorer
Consult the documentation or online help for your Antivirus solution for instructions for how to configure that solution to exclude the directories noted above.
