| Clarifying Information | Steps to Reproduce the Artix Designer Issue on Linux x86_64 1. Install Artix Designer v 5.5 (Linux 64 bit version) 2. Navigate to <ArtixHome>/tools/eclipse 3. Start the Artix Designer – enter: ./eclipse& 1 – Verify installation details for Artix Designer 2 - Create new project; select CORBA Web Services Project under the Artix option 3 – Enter a name for the CORBA Web Services Project 4 – Enter the web service details (e.g., interface, object reference) 5 – After entering the web service details, select Load IDL, then the error is displayed | 
| Error Message | IDL command does not exist /opt/xxx/artix_5.5//artix/5.5/bin/idl. Please check your Artix Installation Directory in Preferences. |

| Workaround | 1- Stop Artix Designer. It is important to make sure that designer is not running. 2- Go to <Artix>/tools/eclipse/plugins/com.iona.bus.eclipse.cxxjni.ui_1.0.0 3- Backup the file "cxxjni_ui.jar" to a different location. 4- Replace it with the one attached to this case. 5-This fixes the issue temporarily. |
