Concern Regarding Red Hat Upgrade and License

Hi 

I am concerned that upgrading our Red Hat Enterprise operating system from version 7.4 to 7.9 may affect our LGU license. Could you please confirm if the license will remain intact after the upgrade?

     Simply updating the RHEL point release will not effect the VisiBroker license status.

     Simply updating the RHEL point release will not effect the VisiBroker license status.

I previously inquired about the impact of upgrading our Red Hat Enterprise OS from version 7.4 to 7.9 on our LGU license. Now, I am planning to upgrade from 7.4 to 8.10 and perform a DNF update. Can you please confirm if there will be any issues with our Visibroker license after this upgrade?

Hi Ki Suk,

     There should be no issues with perform an in-place upgrade to a new RHEL major release for VisiBroker 8.5.

We are planning to upgrade using one of the two methods shown in the table below. We need to confirm if reinstallation is required due to changes in MANO (machine identifier) information.
