Description:
When starting an OpenFusion service as a Windows service, the service fails to start.The error log looks like this:
OpenFusion.NotificationService 4.2.2 ERROR TRZFS1 Tue Jul 18 14:11:51 2006 4098 None The OpenFusion.NotificationService 4.2.2 service failed to start.
OpenFusion.NotificationService 4.2.2 ERROR TRZFS1 Tue Jul 18 14:11:51 2006 4096 None Could not create a FileOutputStream for System.out redirect.
JacORB IMR ERROR TRZFS1 Tue Jul 18 14:11:51 2006 4098 None The JacORB IMR service failed to start.
JacORB IMR ERROR TRZFS1 Tue Jul 18 14:11:51 2006 4096 None Could not create a FileOutputStream for System.out redirect.
Resolution:
This problem is caused because the domains directory has read only permission. When the service attempted to start it was not able to write out its persistent data to this directory. Allowing write access to this directory should resolve the problem.
