Problem:
Micro Focus provides an FTP facility for the customers to upload files. For example, test cases, core dumps etc. The FTP servers require that the customer set their FTP clients to Passive FTP access.
Resolution:
For Windows Internet Explorer:
1. Navigate to Tools > Internet Options.
2. Click the Advanced tab in the Internet Options window.
3. Uncheck the Enable FTP folder view check box under the Browsing section.
4. Check the Use Passive FTP check box under the Browsing section.
For console FTP:
1. In the ftp console after connecting to the FTP server, enter the PASV command.
For other FTP Client, consult its application user guide on how to set Passive FTP.
*There is a known issue where IE may not be able to correctly access the FTP server even if Passive FTP has been set. Use another FTP client or the Windows Explorer instead.
