How does offer purging work in the Trading Service?

Solution:

There are two options for purging offers from the Trading Service. These can be configured as follows:

1. Bring up the OpenFusion Administration Manager, go to the Trading Service and click to expand it so you can see the singletons.

2. On the TradingService singleton go to the General Tag and you will see two options. These are Purge at Startup and Purge Interval.

For an offer to be purged the object reference component of an offer must be invalid (i.e. not persistent and not active) . Once it is purged it is deleted from the Offer database.

PurgeInterval sets the interval, in minutes, between invalid offer purges.
Purge at Startup will purge invalid offers when the Trading service starts.
