Problem:
- Product Name: VisiBroker for Java
- Product Version: 6.5 Service Pack 14 & earlier
- Product Component: idl2java
- Product Platform/OS: All
The -strict option is used as an parameter passed to the idl2java compiler command to generate vendor-independent Java stub and skeleton code in CORBA.
If the idl file includes a type of sequence, VisiBroker 6.5 idl2java compiler will create a Helper class that uses VisiBroker proprietary classes (com.inprise.vbroker.orb.CDRInputStream and com.inprise.vbroker.orb.CDROutputStream).
This problem was first fixed in VisiBroker 5.2.1 Service Pack 15 through CR 2823. This change was subsequently ported over to the VisiBroker 7.0 GA, but not available to VisiBroker 6.5 GA version.
Resolution:
You need to download VisiBroker 6.5 Service Pack 14 for the fix. Please contact Micro Focus Customer Care SupportLine for further information.
