Is IDL recompilation necessary when upgrading the Notification Service?

Resolution:

There is no need to recompile the IDL files for Notification Service clients when upgrading to a maintenance release of OpenFusion. The APIs to access the service remain the same, the only differences between maintenance versions are bug fixes to the service itself.

We recommend to recompile when upgrading to a major release.
