Question/Problem Description

After getting multiple connections with an expired certificate, the Orbix locator crashes with a stack that contains.

Error Message (IT_GenericSecurityToolkit:50) E - External Toolkit Error: Handshake error: SENT_ALERT_FATAL_CERTIFICATE_EXPIRED
Defect/Enhancement Number ORBM-353
Cause Due to the memory leak identified in bug ORBM-353 when the locator receives a connection with an expired certificate this may eventually lead to memory exhaustion and the stack trace described in the problem field.

Resolution Upgrade to Orbix 6.3.6 which contains a fix for ORBM-353
Workaround Ensure all clients and servers connecting to the locator have the latest certificates installed.
