Have few more doubts. What is Orbix Web ? Is this specific to Java. Any details on Orbix MT Please.

Hi Ksspk,

You are correct. "Orbix Web" is an old name given to Orbix 3 Java. It is the Orbix 3 Java ORB.

"Orbix MT" is again an old name, given to Orbix 3 MultiThreaded. To be clear, all current Orbix 3.3 products are multithreaded.

Thank you,
Pat

Thanks Pat. When migrate to 6.3 version does it support Orbix Web and Orbix MT? do we have specific versions separately for C and Java in 6.3

#Orbix
OrbixWeb and Orbix MT are old names for Orbix 3.2 Java ORB (OrbixWeb) and Orbix 3.2 C Multi-Threaded ORB (all 3.3.x releases are inherently Multi-threaded).

Orbix 6.3.10 includes both C and Java Orbs as does the newest Orbix 3.3.14 release.

You can find more documentation on both here:

www.microfocus.com/.../

Enter Orbix 3 or Orbix 6 and choose the appropriate release version.

Cheers,
-Scott
